In July 2016, local artist Mary Mann (who also designed the beautiful Ladybug Effect Poster) and her students at SAMI, a local school, painted an amazing ladybug mural featuring artwork on the wings inspired by Rachel's artwork and Pacific Northwest scenery in the background (that was captured from drone footage we should add!). The mural was hung on the wall of Jewelephant Boutique Salon at 5609 N. 51st Street in Tacoma (next door to Don's Ruston Market and Deli) for the whole neighborhood to enjoy! To top it off, a plaque dedication was held on July 30th, 2016 at the Ruston Family Fair. Several foundation board members and friends attended the ceremony on the lovely summer day. This mural is such an honor to the foundation and Rachel's family and friends and we're so grateful for the generosity of Mary Mann, her students, and the building owner for creating such a wonderful piece of art in Rachel's honor.
